Resolved - Resolved: A solution was implemented at 7:00 PM PDT on Monday May 3rd 2021, and the Chrome OS 90 issue with MAP Growth testing has been resolved. We recommend that you clear the Chromebook device's browser cache and cookies before testing. If you continue to experience any issues while testing with MAP Growth, please contact NWEA technical support.

Monitoring - Monitoring: NWEA engineers have identified the root cause of the Chrome OS 90 issue for MAP Growth and developed a solution. This solution for the MAP Growth issue has been implemented and we are continuing to monitor. In the meantime, please follow the guidance previously provided to continue MAP Growth testing.

If you are using Chrome OS version 90 and running into issues accessing the NWEA secure testing app when administering MAP Growth, we recommend that you contact NWEA technical support to evaluate the various options on how to successfully test. Our support team will provide guidance based on the individual needs of your school/district.

Update - MAP Growth student testing will be unavailable starting on Monday, May 3rd @ 7:00 PM PDT through Monday, May 3rd @ 9:00 PM PDT for scheduled system maintenance. MAP Growth reporting and administrative functions will still be online.

Identified: NWEA engineers have identified the root cause of the Chrome OS 90 issue for MAP Growth and developed a solution. We will notify partners when the solution for the MAP Growth issue has been implemented. In the meantime, please follow the guidance previously provided to continue MAP Growth testing.

Identified - NWEA engineers have developed a solution and are working to upload an updated version of our secure testing app to the Google Play store. We will notify partners of the availability of the new secure testing app over the weekend when and if it becomes available. (April 24-25th 2021)

We recommend that you continue MAP Growth and NSCAS testing using Chrome OS versions 89 or lower. If you are currently using Chrome OS version 89, we would suggest that they temporarily disable “auto-updates” so that their systems do not “auto-update” to Chrome OS version 90. If you are currently using Chrome OS version 90 and are unable to use OS version 89 for testing, we recommend that you contact NWEA technical support to evaluate potential solutions.

Investigating - Using the newly released Chrome OS version 90 may result in an “oops where’s my test window” page when attempting to begin a MAP Growth or Nebraska Student-Centered Assessment System (NSCAS) test.

We recommend that you continue MAP Growth and NSCAS testing using Chrome OS versions 89 or lower. Engineers are investigating and we will update the page by 4:30 PM EDT tonight (04/22/21).
