Identified - An update to Skills Navigator will be made on Saturday, January 21st to improve system performance and address the slow loading of the Assignments tab. The system will be unavailable starting at 3:00PM PST Saturday, January 21st until 4:00PM PST Saturday, January 21st.

Update - Our engineers have identified root cause and are working to address this issue. We will post an update by 8:30 PM Pacific Time on Friday, January 20th.

Partners can continue to utilize Skills Navigator in the meantime based on the following:
-- The slowness should only exist when initially accessing the Assignments tab
-- If a browser message indicates that the application is being unresponsive, users should allow the application to continue loading. When the Assignments page loads after a slow response, users can continue to utilize the application and make assignments as they have previously.
-- There is no impact to the student side of Skills Navigator.

Investigating - Skills Navigator users with large class rosters and/or a large number of student assignments may experience slow loading of the Assignments tab. This may limit the educator’s ability to create or assign new missions for students. NWEA engineers have identified the root cause of the issue and they are working to address it. Partners can continue to utilize Skills Navigator in the meantime based on the following:
-- The slowness should only exist when initially accessing the Assignments tab
-- If a browser message indicates that the application is being unresponsive, users should allow the application to continue loading. When the Assignments page loads after a slow response, users can continue to utilize the application and make assignments as they have previously.

Investigating - Due to a recent update (version 55) of the Chrome browser, users may experience white screens or an error saying “question taking too long to load.” To avoid this, we recommend partners not use version 55 of the Chrome browser to test students with MAP for Primary Grades tests. As an alternative you can use Firefox, Safari, or the lockdown browser on any non-Chromebook device. At this time Chromebooks that have been updated to version 55 OR have automatic updates are not recommended for testing with MAP for Primary Grades.

Investigating - Skills Navigator users may experience slow loading or freezing of the Assignments tab. This will limit the educator’s ability to create or assign new missions for students. There is no impact on the student side of Skills Navigator. Students can still take any previous assigned missions that appear on their dashboard. Engineers are currently investigating. We will provide updates as they are available.
